How we started |
The 2.8 for Nate Foundation was created to honor the late Nate Ljungberg, who tragically lost his battle with Ewing's Sarcoma, in September 2020. Nate was a 19 year old from East Aurora, New York, who loved sports including lacrosse, hockey, and football, and made a lasting impact in the community through his strong relationships.
The Foundation originated as a walkathon raising money for East Aurora Lacrosse boosters, but through overwhelming support from the community blossomed into an organization. We are now a non-profit 501(C)(3) foundation that prides in making donations to organizations that support pediatric cancer treatment, research, and aid families in need. The goal of this organization is to support those in similar situations as Nate was to continue his legacy in the community. |
